Our nursery (Gospodarstwo Szkółkarskie KOMSTA) was established in 1974 on the grounds of the family-run farm funded by Zofia and Kazimierz Komsta. | ||
Initially we grew roses, but with time we added deciduous shrubs and ornamental trees to our offer. Trees have always been our passion and in 1984 we decided to follow our hearts and focused our profile on avenue trees. We specialise in their production until present day and constantly expand our knowledge, expertise and assortment. The current offer covers many species and varieties of deciduous trees, both field-grown (sold with bare roots and root-balled) as well as cultivated in containers. We also have a small assortment of coniferous trees and shrubs, among them a new variety of yew, which was carefully selected in our nursery – Taxus ×media KAZIO 'Komsta1'. The high quality of our products can be testified by our customers and has been highlighted by various rewards (for example Bronze Medal awarded in the ‘Plant Novelties’ category at the 20th International Plant and Garden Exhibition ‘Green is Life’ in 2012). We have been known for constant development in the area of production of the park and street trees. | ||
Our nursery covers the area of 12 ha, 80% of which is dedicated to cultivation of field grown trees. Our container-grown stock occupies approximately 1 ha. | ||
Our customers include garden centres, landscape architects and contractors (both public and private), who organise and fulfil large urban and landscape projects, as well as private individuals pursuing their dream of a perfect home garden. Our trees are shipped to countless places in Poland and exported to many Eastern and Western European countries. We are proud to say that plants from our nursery decorate many cities, parks, avenues and home gardens around Europe. | ||
Many people come to visit our nursery, what we first see in them is passion for trees, only later we notice ‘a customer’ in them… | ||
